Members of the Croatian Red Cross

Members of the Croatian Red Cross are:
- Croatian citizens with working capability who are permanent residents of the Republic of Croatia and who are willing to work in their Red Cross branch organization and pay the membership fee;
- voluntary blood donors who are not obliged to pay the membership fee, unless they give up that right;
- school children, students, undergraduates, and all other young citizens under the age of 26 (hereinafter the Croatian Red Cross Youth) who are active in their Red Cross branch organizations and pay the membership fee.

Croatian Red Cross has supportive and honorary members as well.

Croatian or foreign citizens or legal entities who oblige to support the Croatian Red Cross or its branch organizations in humanitarian activities (either through sponsorship or other type of donation) can be supporting members of the Croatian Red Cross.

Honorary members are distinguished persons from public life who contributed to the overall development of the Croatian Red Cross and the Republic of Croatia by their charity work and outstanding merits.

Membership of the Croatian Red Cross is voluntary and open to everyone without any discrimination notably based on race, colour, gender, language, religion, national or social origin, political or other belief, property, birth, education, social status or other characteristics. 

Every member is obliged to recognize and obey the Law on the Croatian Red Cross, the Statute of the Croatian Red Cross and the Fundamental Principles of the International Movement.
