Governing Board of the Croatian Red Cross

Current Governing Board of the Croatian Red Cross has 23 members who were elected for a four-year term at the constituent session of the General Assembly from among its members.

Governing Board is the executive body of the General Assembly responsible for the work of the Croatian Red Cross between the sessions of the Assembly. It solves all the issues during the year in compliance with the decisions, resolutions and recommendations of the General Assembly and in compliance with mandates established by the Statute of the Croatian Red Cross. It convenes when necessary.

Governing Board discusses and adopts annual programmes and financial plans and takes care of their execution; decides on: allocation of funds, and the joint country-wide activities of the Croatian Red Cross; determines the amount of membership fees; decides on establishment of institutions and companies and gives approval for the establishment when the founder is a municipality, city or county branch organization; decides on the allocation of funds.

Governing Board: takes care of human resources; discusses the current issues of particular branch organization and the Croatian Red Cross as a whole; takes stands and issues recommendations, conclusions, guidelines and directions for the work of branch organizations and rules for particular activities. Governing Board sets up working bodies as necessary, appoints commission for awards and ethical commission. Governing Board adopts normative acts on the organizational structure of the Headquarters.
